The Mission of the Greater Mitchell Chamber of Commerce is to promote the developing, growth and retention of the Mitchell Business community while fostering an environment of community involvement.

Sponsorship of Mitchell's Persimmon Festival - now in its 64th year - held the last full week in September annually.

Sponsorship of forums with candidates seeking office to benefit our community's public awareness of issues and needs.

Participation in occupational education programs with junior and senior high school students to provide expertise in career development.

Mitchell High School Scholarship Awards Program.

Holiday Lighting Contest Awards.

Fourth of July Fireworks.

Our annual meeting honors our community Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year, and Volunteer of the Year.

The Chamber addresses timely issues through business and education forums and workshops, and by meeting with local and state officials on matters such as highway construction and economic development.

Our Chamber serves as the information hub of the community, making referrals to the appropriate industry, business or organization. As a Welcome Center, the Chamber has the opportunity to introduce visitors and area newcomers to all our community has to offer.
